Transitions
Some things do change overnight. My wife and I moved from California to Oregon, and from San Francisco to Portland. We are in the middle of looking for a local expression of the church, I have started at a new school and both of us are in new job scenarios that are, at the moment, temporary. I feel like I'm in high school again! Anyways, the point is that this life transition happened overnight. However, the preparation and research took almost a year. This isn't supposed to be profound, just real and ongoing. I sense that many believers (by believers I mean followers of Christ) are almost always in a sense of transition from one thing to another. This isn't necessarily about big moves and nasty situations. I am thinking about a daily one. Where believers are constantly being challenged to transition from "glory to glory ( 2 Cor. 3:18)." Whether we feel settled, or just had a major life change this internal, underground (if you will) current of truth is always moving us closer and closer to God himself.

Yup, and: the righteous will live by faith!
ReplyDeleteA lot in this life seems to be about learning to trust God and not attempting to control our own lives ;-).
